The World Trade Fair VivaTechnology 2019 in Paris is the largest event in Europe to establish relationships and agreements between corporations and startups. From 16 to 18 May, Girbau LAB has worked to expand its ecosystem and jointly explore disruptive solutions in the industrial laundry sector with different startups and accelerators in VivaTechnology.
With its manager, Mariona Sanz, at the forefront, Girbau LAB has been able to learn from Le Village by CA and Techstars Paris, accelerators of startups that were in VivaTechnology. More specifically, and in direct contact with entrepreneurs, has known technological solutions in Clean Tech or the Internet of Things, among others.
There has also been time to visit more thoroughly the incubator and startup accelerator that houses VivaTechnology, StationF. In this space of more than 34,000 square meters are developed 26 international programs for startups, some own and others in collaboration with large companies.
Startups and corporates together
In StationF, Girbau LAB has contacted with the Spark program of innovation with startups of the public transport company of Paris, RATP. There has also been exchange of knowledge with Cap Gemini Invent and its program of innovation and digital transformation.
Especially interesting was the visit to Orange Gardens, the space of the French telecommunications company in which it develops its powerful program Orange Fab Acceleration program.
The visit to Viva Technology 2019 and the meetings with startups and corporations in Paris has been framed in a mission together with other companies organized by ACCIÓ, the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the catalan Government.
