During the most important international congress in mobile technology held in Barcelona from 25 to 28 February, Girbau LAB has identified twenty-nine technological opportunities of interest. This has been done both with visits to the different stands and during the active participation to the MWC Brokerage event, a space where different companies, such as the case of Girbau, have received proposals for solutions to their posed challenges.
Some highlights detected by Girbau LAB have been artificial intelligence solutions for predictive maintenance, and artificial vision for the detection of defects in products during the production process.
Another technological field explored has been the virtual reality (VR). During the MWC/4YFN, Girbau LAB has spoken with managers of VR solutions applied to the training of operators, or to design products and create virtual showrooms. There have also been contacts with developers of speech recognition systems as well as natural language interpretation applied for data analysis.
The event has served to contact with entities and other companies to collaborate jointly in the identification of start-ups, solutions or technologies. Thus, Girbau LAB has started new contact with the digital node of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT Digital), the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the investment area in start-ups of the German multinational Würth, as well as with other corporations.
