Girbau LAB has joined institutions bound to startups with disruptive technologies, the circular economy and sustainability. The collaboration agreements with the IQS Tech Factory, the ELISAVA design school and the integration in the Catalan Water Partnership confirm this.
Investing in startups is one of the key factors of any open innovation platform. In addition, this is further enhanced with the ability to detect disruptive technologies under a solid methodology.
The collaboration agreement that Girbau LAB has reached, within the Girbau Group, with the IQS Tech Factory, allows the incorporation into Club Tech Industrial Innovators, one of the most powerful ecosystems of technological innovation. Recently, Pere Girbau, CEO of Girbau, was also on the Corporate Venturing panel of the IQS Tech Fest, the industrial startups festival.
Girbau LAB with technology, design and sustainability
Girbau LAB has joined with the prestigious ELISAVA School of Design. Students of the industrial design degree are exploring the field of circular economy in the industrial laundry. One of the first actions was the joint visit to Bugadería Industrial Garraf,, to see the processes related to the project.
Girbau LAB is also part of the Catalan Water Partnership (CWP) cluster. This cluster brings together companies and centers that work in the sector of sustainable water use in order to enhance their global competitiveness.
One of the first acts with the CWP will be the third edition of the Water Sector Innovation Forum, which will be held on March 7, focused on technological solutions and innovations linked to digitization, the circular economy and the intensive uses of water.
